Terre con un patrimonio unico di bellezze paesaggistiche, artistiche e architettoniche, alle quali il terremoto ha imposto una doppia, lacerante perdita: non solo ha distrutto edifici, abitazioni, monumenti, ma allo stesso tempo ha messo in crisi il tessuto culturale della comunità, quel legame intangibile che viene prodotto quotidianamente dall’interazione tra gli uomini e i luoghi colpiti dalla catastrofe.
I tre artisti coinvolti dalla Soprintendenza delle Marche e dal MAXXI si sono messi immediatamente sulle tracce di questa memoria ferita. Attraverso l’immagine fissa o in movimento non hanno solamente cercato di raccontare il dramma delle rovine e della distruzione, ma si sono piuttosto concentrati sulle relazioni: tra le persone e il territorio, tra gli edifici danneggiati e quelli ricostruiti, tra i siti dai quali i beni e le opere d’arte sono stati tratti in salvo e quelli in cui attualmente vengono custoditi. La loro ricerca ha restituito tre progetti d’autore, caratterizzati da un’eterogeneità di attitudini, temperamenti e linguaggi.

Opere D'Arte
One of the greatest masterpieces of the history of art is the Moses by Michelangelo. Extraordinary work of the Renaissance, it is the most important sculpture in the tomb of Julius II, in the church of Saint Peter in Vincoli. It was sculpted by the Tuscan artist between 1513 and 1516, and it represents the central element of this amazing mausoleum that started to host the remains of the pontiff almost a century after his death, which took place February 21st, 1513.
