Ho già avuto il piacere di recensire il loro .50 Caliber qualche tempo fa ma oggi scopriamo insieme lo Uni-Verb per capire al meglio di cosa è capace. Lo Uni-Verb è il risultato di anni di studio e di sviluppo per portare alla luce la loro idea di pedale di Vibe. Come avrete immaginato è ispirato al suo antenato, lo Uni-Vibe, costruito nel 1968 quando ci si rese conto che trasportare un Leslie era decisamente sconveniente. J.Rockett Audio ha così deciso di mettere le mani e la testa sul famoso circuito, sviluppando nuove idee e aggiungendo caratteristiche che hanno reso l'idea dello Uni-Verb realtà. Lo Uni-Verb è composto da due pedali in uno: un Chorus/Vibrato e un Riverbero (ispirato ad un tank reverb anni 50). I controlli del lato Chorus/Vibrato sono tre (Chorus Mix, Intensity e Speed) e insieme riescono a creare il suono più adatto per qualsiasi idea di suono. Il lato del Riverbero presenta due semplicissimi controlli (Dwell e Reverb) per avere sempre la giusta quantità di riverbero nel nostro segnale. La possibilità di cambiare tra le modalità Chorus e Vibrato con un normale switch anziché un interruttore (come nell'originale) lo rende ancora più dinamico anche in situazioni di live. L'aggiunta di un Fx Loop nella parte superiore invece gli fa prendere le distanze da qualsiasi altro pedale di questa tipologia perché offre la possibilità di aggiungere dei pedali overdrive, fuzz o distorsori tra il lato Vibrato/Chorus ed il lato Riverbero per ottenere una catena effetti più ideale per il nostro suono. Come il suo antenato, anche lo Uni-Verb si alimenta a 24V ma con un input da 9V. Prendendo la corrente in entrata da 9V e trasformandola attraverso diversi passaggi interni in 24V per alimentare interamente il pedale, rende la vita più semplice a noi chitarristi facendoci alimentare anche questo pedali pedali un semplice alimentatore da 9V.
